About Us:

The Womyn's Ministry of Unity Fellowship Atlanta was started in 1997 with Melanie Reahms and Gail Booker. Acknowledging the need to celebrate the accomplishments of womyn, Womyn herstory month began. This celebration is now a tradition that is celebrated annually. In 2004, Minister Pendermon saw the need for a safe space for womyn to come together and share encourage and enlighten each other through support and love. Through this need, Sister Circle was developed. In 2007 the Womyns Ministry was given a name to properly identify our focus for the ministry. We are and always will be "Womyn of Action".

MISSION:

Demonstrating the mission of UFC Atlanta this diverse group of women come together to develop a sense of individual responsibility by focusing on service to God and community, spiritual growth and development, and social enrichment.

Objectives:

To establish small groups for encouragement, transparency and accountability
To host edifying, fun-filled activities, such as luncheons, social outings, and retreats
To enhance our personal relationship with God and our neighbors through fellowships, events and seminars
To encourage women to develop in the character of Christ by feeding the hungry, and clothing the naked and giving of one self for the spiritual growth of others

Activities:

On the 2nd Saturday of the month, Womyn of Action come together to make sandwiches to feed our homeless sisters and brothers.
On the 3rd Saturday of each month Sister Circle convenes for a social at the home of one of our sisters for fellowship and enlighten discussion.
During the month of March we celebrate the heroic womyn of our past and present as we encourage the womyn of our future. This is a month long celebration that includes weekend activities and Sunday morning worship services.
